# Alternatives objectives

`POST /parts/alternatives` accepts:

* `drop_in`
* `functional`
* `cost_down`
* `availability`
* `domestic_replacement`
* `lifecycle`

MVP ranks catalog substitute edges with heuristic compatibility scores. Rich FAE/LLM substitute plan is opt-in later.

Set `include_evidence: true` (Intelligence) to attach an `evidence` object per alternative (`quality`, `summary`, `evidence_refs`). Default omits `evidence`.
